Data-Led Impact Assessment
Pursuit of Impartiality
Our commitment to transparency and genuine sustainability means that we don’t just rely on our data, but actively invite third-party scrutiny. Collaborating with external agencies helps us ensure that our measurements remain impartial, devoid of biases, and stand up to the most stringent examinations.
The Rigour of Multi-Year On-Farm Projects
Understanding our true environmental impact isn’t a quick assessment—it requires patience, diligence, and a long-term perspective. By investing in multi-year on-farm projects, we aim to capture accurate, comprehensive data that reflects the holistic impact of our practices.
Carbon Footprint Ltd.: The Expert Eye
In partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd., we adhere to the gold standards in carbon accounting. They measure our impact according to the respected Carbon Neutral Protocol, ensuring that our practices align with globally recognised benchmarks.
The Depth of the LCA Process
The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) isn’t a simple evaluation. It was a multi-year intensive exploration in partnership with sequestration and emission experts in New Zealand. This assessment rigorously probed every facet of our operation, from sheep to finished garment, ensuring that no emission, no matter how small, went unnoticed.
ISO 14064-1:2006 & Toitū Envirocare Validation
Our commitment to accurate data is underpinned by internationally recognized standards. The LCA’s findings were further validated by Toitū Envirocare, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2006. This independent certification not only adds another layer of verification to our processes but also reassures our stakeholders that our operations prioritise environmental responsibility at every turn.
A Living, Evolving Assessment
Our impact assessment isn’t a one-off. We continuously refine, update, and evolve our methodologies in response to the latest research and advancements in sustainability science. Our goal isn’t just to stay compliant, but to remain at the forefront of
sustainable practices.
