The Wool Puffer Jacket
10 December 2025 · 7 min read
Not all puffers begin in fields. Ours does.
It begins with premium recycled wool, aquatic plants for insulation, and cotton that carries the trace of the soil it came from.
Not as ingredients on a label, but as a whole system.
Made in collaboration with Manteco® and Ponda. Engineered for warmth, yes — but also for circularity, breathability, and that elusive quality most outerwear forgets to chase: lightness without compromise.
This is what happens when regenerative farming, textile science, and biomimicry sit down at the same table.
The Outer Shell
Recycled Wool. No Dye. No Waste.
Crafted by Manteco's MWool® — a premium fibre made from 100% recycled and undyed wool. Italy's leading textile innovator since 1943.

The wool comes from pre and post-consumer waste — old garments and production scraps that are colour-sorted, shredded, re-spun, and rewoven without re-dyeing.
No added chemicals. Almost no water. What you see is what the fibres already were.
So when you run your hand along the outside of the puffer, you're not just feeling softness. You're feeling story.
A material memory of garments reborn. It's not "inspired by circularity." It is circularity.

The Inner Structure
Powered by Plants, Light by Nature
Inside is BioPuff® — an alternative to both synthetics and feathers, developed by Ponda. Our filling comes from typha, a fast-growing aquatic plant.

BioPuff® holds warmth the way nature intended — through airy structure, not dense stuffing. It's light. Breathable. Winter-grade.
And not a single feather is plucked.

Why We Made It
Because we wanted to prove something.
A jacket that holds warmth like down, moves like a knit, and leaves behind less of everything: weight, waste, water.
Manteco brought decades of textile mastery. Ponda brought the ingenuity of wetlands. We brought a relentless belief that nature doesn't need to be outperformed — it needs to be understood.
Together, we made something none of us could've made alone.
Because the future of fashion won't be built by force. It will be shaped softly structured, full of space, and stitched in collaboration.
